New Off-Season Wrestling Camps Heading to Sun Prairie

We’re getting ready to launch our new off-season wrestling camps at the Sun Prairie facility. These programs are built for athletes who want to sharpen their technique and build strength long after the winter season ends. Whether you’re eyeing a state qualifier spot or just want to move better on the mat, our coaches are designing a program that focuses on real skill development and conditioning. At JJ’s Boxing & Wrestling, we’ve built a clear path for wrestlers no matter where they are in their journey. Our youth programs, affiliated with USA Wrestling, give kids from kindergarten through 8th grade a solid foundation in the basics. They get two classes a week plus 'open mat' time to really dial in what they’ve learned. For our older high school and college athletes, we shift the focus to advanced technique, agility, and top-tier conditioning. To make sure nobody gets lost in the shuffle, we cap our advanced sessions at 20 people. This lets our coaches give the one-on-one feedback you need to master everything from basic takedowns to the most complex escapes.

I’ve always believed a gym is only as good as its coaches. That’s why our team is made up of people who have competed and won at the highest levels. Between my nine years of varsity coaching and the backgrounds of guys like Coach Adam Zimmerman—a regional champ and state-level coach—and Coach Edwin Bonayon—a 4x State placer and former All-Marine wrestler—we know what it takes to win. We don’t just teach you moves; we help you build the mental toughness you need to succeed both on the mat and in everyday life.

Focused Training and Off-Season Gains

Our wrestling curriculum is built on three main pillars: technique, dexterity, and agility. During the winter, we are all about active competition, but our off-season camps are where the real work happens. That is when we push limits and refine the skills that turn good wrestlers into great ones. These camps take commitment, but they are designed for maximum physical and mental results. To keep our training environment professional and safe, we have a strict 'no street shoes' rule on the mats. We also use an easy online booking system so our coaches can focus on teaching rather than paperwork.
